Major General (ret.) Dennis Laich Announced as New Executive Director of Eisenhower Media Network
"I’m honored to lead this collective of patriots as we seek to inform the American public of a different path forward – one where peace and diplomacy come first."
Today, Eisenhower Media Network announced Major General (ret.) Dennis Laich as the new executive director for the organization. MG Laich will take over from CCM (ret.) Dennis Fritz, who will remain with the organization as a Senior Fellow.
“President Thomas Jefferson described informed dissent as the highest form of patriotism. As our country descends further into fascist policies and authoritarian leadership, we need true patriotism like Jefferson described now more than ever. EMN is home to dissidents who love our country and are willing to speak truth to power. I’m honored to lead this collective of patriots as we seek to inform the American public of a different path forward – one where peace and diplomacy come first,” said MG Dennis Laich.
“It’s been a privilege to serve as the Director of EMN these last few years. As I take a step back, I know the organization is in good hands with a trusted leader like MG Laich. I look forward to continuing to work with him and all my colleagues as we continue to forge a path for peace for the American people and the world,” said CCM (ret.) Dennis Fritz.
“I’ve worked closely with MG Laich for many years, and I know him to be a dedicated and resilient soldier and a superb leader. He's totally committed to his constitutional oath to defend the nation from enemies foreign and domestic. As we face threats in both of these domains, Laich will orchestrate EMN's former military and intelligence officials – who are just as committed to that oath as he – to demonstrate to the American people that neither unnecessary wars nor governmental tyranny should mar America's future,” said Col. Larry Wilkerson, senior advisor to EMN.
“MG Laich cares deeply about the troops. As such, he is dedicated to ensuring that they’re deployed only as a last resort and that they’re looked after upon return. I am excited to work alongside him as the Eisenhower Media Network encourages a humane U.S. foreign policy,” said Christian Sorenson, associate director of EMN.
MG Laich had a distinguished 35-year career in the Army Reserve, with 23 of those years spent in various command positions; most recently as commander of the 94th Regional Readiness Command in Ft. Devens, MA.
Laich holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lafayette College, and Master’s degrees from West Virginia University and St. Francis College in business administration and labor relations. He completed post-graduate studies at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and is a graduate of the Army War College. Laich also serves as Ohio Dominican University’s PATRIOTS Program director. Laich is the University’s support liaison for veterans applying for the PATRIOTS Program, providing one-on-one assistance and linking them with the resources they need. He also wrote the book Skin in the Game: Poor Kids and Patriots.
